American Electric Technologies, Inc. (AETI) completed a business combination (the M&I Merger) with M&I Electric Industries, Inc. and changed its name to American Electric Technologies, Inc. AETI's corporate structure consists of American Electric Technologies, Inc., which owns 100% of both M&I Electric Industries, Inc. (M&I) and American Access Technologies, Inc. (AAT). The Company operates in three segments: the Technical Products and Services (TP&S) segment and the Electrical and Instrumentation Construction (E&I) segment which together encompass the operations of M&I, including its South Coast Electric Systems, LLC subsidiary and the American Access (AAT) segment, which encompasses the operations of American Access including its Omega Metals division.
