PowerShares Dynamic Biotechnology & Genome Portfolio (the Fund) seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield of the Dynamic Biotechnology & Genome Intellidex Index (Index). The Index thoroughly evaluates companies based on a variety of investment criteria, including fundamental growth, stock valuation, investment timeliness and risk factors. Securities shown to possess the greatest capital appreciation potential are selected by the Index. The Index consists of stocks of 30 United States biotechnology and genome companies. These are companies that are principally engaged in the research, development, manufacture, and marketing and distribution of various biotechnological products, services and processes and companies that benefit significantly from scientific and technological advances in biotechnology and genetic engineering and research.
