PowerShares Dividend Achievers Portfolio (the Fund) seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield of the Broad Dividend Achievers Index (the Index). The Index is designed to track the performance of companies that meet the requirements to be classified as Dividend Achievers. The Index is designed to identify a diversified group of dividend-paying companies. To become eligible for inclusion in the Index, a company must be incorporated in the United States or United States territory, trade on a United States exchange, and must have raised its annual regular cash dividend payments for at least each of the last 10 consecutive fiscal years. The portfolio is rebalanced quarterly and reconstituted annually. The Fund will normally invest at least 90% of its total assets in dividend paying common stocks that comprise Index.
