BlackRock Senior High Income Fund, Inc. (the Fund) is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Fund seeks to provide current income with a secondary objective of providing capital appreciation. The Fund seeks to achieve its objective by investing primarily in a diversified portfolio of fixed-income securities that are rated below investment grade by rating services (Ba or lower by Moody’s Investors Service, Inc. (Moody’s) or BB or lower by Standard & Poor’s Corporation (S&P’s)), or are unrated securities of comparable quality. The Fund may purchase and write call and put options. The Funds may invest in floating-rate loans and preferred stocks. The Fund invests in sectors, such as airlines, auto components, automobiles, building products, capital markets, chemicals, commercial services and supplies, and containers and packaging. The Fund’s investment advisor is BlackRock Advisors, LLC, which is an indirect, wholly owned subsidiary of BlackRock, Inc.
