American Strategic Income Portfolio Inc. (the Fund) is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Fund’s primary objective is to achieve high levels of current income. Its secondary objective is to seek capital appreciation. The Fund invests in mortgage-related assets that directly or indirectly represent a participation in or are secured by and payable from mortgage loans. It may also invest in the United States Government securities, corporate debt securities, preferred stock issued by real estate investment trusts and mortgage servicing rights. The Fund’s investment advisor is FAF Advisors, Inc., a subsidiary of U.S. Bank National Association.
