Description

Southwest Georgia Financial Corporation (the Corporation) serves as the holding company for Southwest Georgia Bank (the Bank). The Bank provides financial services to consumer, business and governmental customers, which, in addition to conventional banking products, include a full range of mortgage banking, trust, investment and insurance services. It provides banking services through the Bank to individuals and businesses principally in Colquitt County, Baker County, Thomas County, Worth County, and the surrounding counties of southwest Georgia. The Bank also operates Empire Financial Services, Inc. (Empire), a commercial mortgage banking firm, and a loan production office located in Lowndes County. As of December 31, 2008, the Bank had four full service banking facilities, a loan production office, and six automated teller machines (ATMs).
