United Minerals Corporation NL (UMC) is engaged in the exploration of mineral tenements in Western Australia, with a focus on iron ore in the central Pilbara region and bauxite in the Kimberly region. The Company explores with particular emphasis on strategic and precious metals. It has 100% interest in the Pilbara Iron Ore Project comprising 263 square kilometers of tenements in the Pilbara iron ore province in Western Australia. The Company has completed 936 reverse circulation (RC) and diamond drill holes totaling 67,210 meters. It has a joint venture with Hydro Aluminium AS of Norway (Hydro) to develop an alumina refinery in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.
