Alkane Resources Limited is engaged in mining and exploration for gold, and other minerals and metals. The Dubbo Zirconia Project (DZP) is located 30 kilometers south of the regional centre of Dubbo in the Central West Region of New South Wales. Its Tomingley Gold Project is situated in the Central West of New South Wales, and is centered on three gold deposits located 14 kilometres north of the Company�s Peak Hill Gold Mine. The Orange District Exploration Joint Venture includes the Company�s Molong and Moorilda tenements located near the city of Orange in the Central West of New South Wales. The Wellington Project is centered 15 kilometers to the southeast of the town of Wellington. The project hosts targets, including the Federal gold and Galwadgere copper-gold prospects. It has a number of other exploration projects in Central West of New South Wales, as well as a residual 23% reducing interest in a nickel sulphide joint venture with Xstrata Nickel at Leinster in Western Australia.
