Intra Energy Corporation Limited (IEC) is an Australia-based company. The Company is in the business of exploration and evaluation of coal in Africa. Principal activities of the Company are coal exploration and production in Eastern Africa and exploration in Indochina with a particular focus on coal and power generation. As of June 30, 2012, the Company held interests in three mineral tenement areas in Western Australia: Eraheedy, Ashburton, and Uaroo. IEC�s 100% owned subsidiary, Intra Energy Corporation (Tanzania) Limited (IETL), owns a 70% interest in Tancoal mine, a joint venture with the National Development Corporation of Tanzania (NDC). IEC owns a 70% interest in the Kabulo mining license SML235 and three surrounding Prospecting Licenses, held by Tanzacoal East Africa Mining Limited (Tanzacoal). In August 2011, IEC, through its subsidiary, Tanzacoal, completed the acquisition of coal leases in the Songwe-Kiwira region, located to the north of Lake Nyasa in south-west Tanzania.
