Anvil Mining Limited is an international base metals mining and exploration company, which is engaged in exploration, development, operation and acquisition of mining projects in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Its principal assets include 95% equity interest in the Kinsevere copper mine (the Kinsevere mine), 70% equity interest in the Mutoshi copper / cobalt project, including the Mutoshi mine in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and interests in a number of exploration properties in the Democratic Republic of Congo. It also holds interest in Mawson West Limited (Mawson West) that represents approximately 14% of Mawson West. The Kinsevere mine is located in the south-west of the Democratic Republic of Congo, approximately 30 kilometers north of Lubumbashi. In February 2012, Minmetals Resources Ltd. acquired over 90% interest in the Company.
