Bauxite Resources Limited is engaged in the acquisition, exploration and development of bauxite mineral deposits in Western Australia. The Company operates through four segments: mining-direct shipping ore, exploration, bankable feasibility and other studies and administration. As of July 31, 2012, the Company had 119 exploration licenses in the Darling Range of which 59 are granted. The area covered by exploration licenses in the Darling Range stands at 25,666 square kilometers. The Company focuses on bauxite exploration throughout the Darling Range via the Bauxite Alumina Joint Venture and the HD Mining Joint Venture. The Cronus bauxite deposit is located in the southern Darling Range, approximately 15 kilometers east of Boyup Brook.
