Cooper Energy Limited is an oil and gas exploration and production whose primary purpose is to secure, find, develop, produce and sell hydrocarbons. These activities are undertaken either solely or via unincorporated joint ventures. The Company operates through four geographical segments. During the fiscal year ended June 30, 2012, the Company participated in the drilling of six exploration wells and five appraisal/development wells in the Cooper Basin, South Australia. As of June 6, 2012, Cooper Energy Limited had 90.154% of interest in Somerton Energy Limited. In June 2012, the Company acquired a controlling interest in Somerton Energy Limited.
