On November 3, 2011, it incorporated Fairfax Digital Holdings NZ Limited and Fairfax Digital Assets NZ Limited. On April 30, 2012, it acquired Autobase Limited. On October 31, 2011, the Company disposed 5AU Broadcasters Proprietary Limited, Bundaberg Broadcasters Pty Ltd, Bundaberg Narrowcasters Pty Ltd and Lanson Investments Pty Ltd. In November 2012, the Company sold its specialist agricultural media businesses in the United States to Penton Media. On December 21, 2012, the Company acquired Netus Pty Ltd.
