Malagasy Minerals Limited is engaged in mineral exploration and project evaluation. During the fiscal year ended June 30, 2012, the Company had retained 1,858 square kilometers of exploration permits over the project areas, such as Ampanihy (Ni-copper-PGE and graphite) - 1,415 square kilometers; Fotadrevo (V-Ni-copper) - 312 square kilometers; Vohibory (copper-gold) - 106 square kilometers, and Majunga (Mineral Sands) - 25 square kilometers. The Ampanihy Project covers two anorthosite intrusions (Ianapera and Maniry) and the suture zone between. The Fotadrevo Project includes base and precious metal. Majunga Prospect lies on the northwest coast of Madagascar over acoastal sediments with potential to host heavy mineral sands (ilmenite, rutile and zircon).
