Description
Northern Star Resources Ltd (Northern Star) is a gold producing and exploration company. The Company is engaged in mining of gold deposits at Paulsens, construction and development of gold mining operations at Paulsen�s, and exploration and development of gold deposits in the Ashburton region of Western Australia. As of June 30, 2012, Paulsens Gold Mine had produced 67,206 ounces. Paulsens is an operational underground gold mine located 180 kilometers west of the mining town of Paraburdoo. In February 2011, the Company acquired the 668,000-ounce Ashburton Project. The Golden Crown Project is located 20 kilometers east of the regional centre of Halls Creek in the Kimberley Mineral Field, Western Australia. In May 2012, Northern Star acquired13% interest in Venturex Resources Limited.
