Description
Sovereign Metals Limited (Sovereign) is an Australia-based company engaged in the mineral exploration, identification and appraisal of resource projects. The Company has an interest in two joint venture assets: Carpenteria Joint Venture and Tate River Project. Carpenteria Joint Venture is an exploration joint venture between Mount Isa Mines Limited (Xstrata Copper) and Sovereign. Sovereign holds 50% in Tate River Project pursuant to a farm-in agreement with Fusion Resources Pty Ltd (Fusion). On August 14, 2012, the Company announced that it had entered into an agreement to acquire McCourt Mining Pty Ltd (McCourt) which holds prospective Central Malawi Graphite Project, (Project) located in Malawi, near the capital city, Lilongwe. The Company�s subsidiaries include Sovereign Cloncurry Pty Ltd, Sovereign Mozambique Pty Ltd, Sovereign Coal Pty Ltd and Sovereign Metals (Zambia) Ltd.
