Southern Cross Goldfields Limited is engaged in the mineral exploration and development principally in Western Australia. The Marda gold project involves the establishment of a conventional CIP/CIL gold processing facility. The Company holds gold rights over approximately 2,500 square kilometers of the prospective Yilgarn greenstone in the Marda region alone. The Company has a total JORC compliant resource inventory of approximately 600,000 ounces of gold across a portfolio of predominantly oxide gold deposits. Its other projects include Red Boomerang, Sandstone Project, Radio Gold Mine and Copper Bore Base Metals Project. The Sandstone Gold Project, located 600 kilometers north-east of Perth, comprises a substantial package of mineral tenements covering an area of 1,100 square kilometers and an entire greenstone belt within the Achaean Yilgarn Block of Western Australia. In March 2013, Troy Resources Limited announced that it has completed the sale of its Sandstone property to it.
