Texon Petroleum Ltd (Texon Petroleum) is an oil and gas explorer and producer with its operations located in the Gulf Coast of Texas, United States. Texon Petroleum�s projects include Eagle Ford Shale, the Olmos reservoir and Yegua. The Eagle Ford shale is an unconventional oil /condensate rich reservoir. The Olmos reservoir overlies Texon�s Eagle Ford reservoir in McMullen County at a depth of about 8,800 feet. Texon has three wells producing in Jackson County from the Yegua formation. During the year ended December 31, 2011, eight wells were drilled, including two Eagle Ford wells, four Olmos wells, one Yegua well and the Company�s first Wilcox well. Effective February 27, 2013, Talon Petroleum Limited demerged from the Company and Sundance Energy Australia Limited acquired the Company.
