Yancoal Australia Limited (Yancoal) is an Australia-based company. The Company is engaged in the development and operation of coal mines in Queensland, New South Wales and Western Australia. Yancoal has a portfolio of seven operating mines, six projects under feasibility study, a suite of exploration assets and major infrastructure shareholdings. The Company�s operations in New South Wales include Ashton, Austar, Donaldson, Duralie, Stratford and Moolarben. The Company's operations in Queensland include Middlemount (JV with Peabody Energy Australia), Yarrabee and Cameby Downs. The Company's operations in Western Australia include Premier. On May 13, 2011, it acquired an additional 30% interest in Ashton Coal Joint Venture. On August 1, 2011, it acquired 100% interest in Syntech Holding Pty and Syntech Holding II Pty Ltd. On December 30, 2011, it acquired 100% interest in Premier Coal Limited and Premier Char Pty Ltd.
