Amtech Systems, Inc. (Amtech) is a supplier of horizontal diffusion furnace systems used for solar (photovoltaic) cell and semiconductor manufacturing. The Company operates in two business segments: solar and semiconductor equipment, and polishing supplies. The solar and semiconductor equipment is sold under the brand names of Tempress Systems and Bruce Technologies. Within the solar industry, the Company provides diffusion and automation equipment to solar cell manufacturers. Within the semiconductor industry, it provides equipment to manufacturers of analog, power, automotive and microcontroller chips with geometries greater than 0.3 micron. Under the PR Hoffman brand, Amtech is a supplier of insert carriers to manufacturers of silicon wafers, and provides lapping and polishing consumable products, as well as equipment used in various industries.
