Description

Aetrium Incorporated (Aetrium) designs, manufactures and markets a variety of electromechanical equipment used in the handling and testing of integrated circuits (ICs). The Company's primary focus is on high volume ICs and on the latest IC package designs. Its products are purchased primarily by semiconductor manufacturers and their assembly and test subcontractors. The Company's products are used in the test, assembly and packaging (TAP), segment of semiconductor manufacturing. It has two principal equipment product lines: test handler products and reliability test equipment. The Company's line of test handler products incorporates thermal conditioning, contacting and automated handling technologies to provide automated handling of ICs during production test cycles. Test handler products and Reliability test equipment accounted for 59% and 15% of the Company’s net sales during the year ended December 31, 2008 (during 2008).
