Tinka Resources Limited (Tinka) is a Canada-based junior mineral exploration company. The Company is engaged in the acquisition and exploration of precious and base metals on mineral properties located in Peru. Its activities are focused on developing Ayawilca and Colquipucro projects, located approximately 40 kilometers northwest of Cerro de Pasco, Central Peru. The Colquipucro is a near-surface, sandstone-hosted, silver oxide project located approximately two kilometers north of Ayawilca. The principal focus at the Ayawilca project is zinc exploration and development, in which zinc occurs as sulfide chimney and manto replacement bodies in limestone accompanied with various quantities of indium, lead and silver. Tinka has ownership of over 50 granted mining concessions covering approximately 11,340 hectares at its Ayawilca polymetallic project. There are also over four mining concession applications at Ayawilca, covering approximately 3,000 hectares.
