Alexis Minerals Corporation is a mining, exploration and development company. The Company's primary focus is in Quebec. The Company is also engaged, directly and indirectly through joint ventures, in the acquisition, exploration and development of mineral properties. As of December 31, 2008, the Company's operations and strategic investments were in the Abitibi District of Quebec, Canada. Its major propertis include Lac Herbin, Lac Pelletier (Rouyn-Noranda), Val d’Or, Rouyn-Noranda, and the Lac Pelletier Gold Project. During the year ended December 31, 2008, the Company drilled a total of 78,487 meters on the Val d’Or property. In April 2008, the Company announced that it had vested into ownership of 17 properties in the Val d'Or Mining District, Quebec. The 17 properties cover 109 square kilometers of the Val d’Or formation. The Company is also focussing on the exploration and development of its other gold and base metal projects within Quebec.
