American National Insurance Company is engaged in life insurance, annuities and property and casualty insurance. The Company also offers pension services and limited health insurance. During the year ended December 31, 2011, the Company sold a portfolio of directly owned industrial real estate and its interests in partnerships of similar industrial real estate.
