After more than a half a century, The Jones Company has proven it isn't just a flash in the pan. The diversified holding company operates more than 170 Flash Foods convenience stores in Georgia and north Florida. A pair of subsidiaries keep the shelves stocked and gas tanks full. The company's Fuel South unit supplies its service stations with fuel. Its Distribution South unit is a wholesale grocery supplier and provides much of the merchandise sold in the stores. The firm's Jones Company Restaurants subsidiary operates restaurants and Walker-Jones is a family of auto dealerships. Founded in 1952 by J. C. Jones Jr., and his father, the company is still owned and run by the Jones family.
