BlackRock Dividend Achievers Trust (the Trust) is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Trust seeks to provide total return through a combination of current income and capital appreciation by investing in common stocks that pay above average dividends and have the potential for capital appreciation. The Trust will invest substantially all, but not less than 80%, of its total assets in common stocks that are included in the Indxis’s universe of Dividend Achievers. The Trust may purchase and write call and put options. The Trust invests in sectors, such as consumer staples, healthcare, industrials, financials, energy, information technology, telecommunication services, utilities and materials. The Trust’s investment advisor is BlackRock Advisors, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of BlackRock, Inc. Its sub-advisor is BlackRock Financial Management, Inc.
