BFC Financial Corporation (BFC) is a holding company. The Company’s ownership interests include direct and indirect interests in businesses in a variety of sectors, including consumer and commercial banking, master-planned community development, time-share and vacation ownership, an Asian-themed restaurant chain and various real estate and venture capital investments. BFC operates through five segments: BFC Activities, BankAtlantic, BankAtlantic Bancorp Other Operations, Land Division and Woodbridge Other Operations. In September 2009, BFC Financial Corporation and Woodbridge Holdings (Woodbridge) completed their merger. Pursuant to the merger, Woodbridge became a wholly owned subsidiary of BFC.
