Banco General SA is a Panama-based banking institution. The Bank’s business is structured in three divisions: Personal Banking, Business Banking and Private Banking. Its services and products include saving and current accounts, fixed-term deposits, consumer and commercial loans, mortgages, money transfers, foreign trade and other banking operation processing services for businesses and individuals. The Bank owns such subsidiaries as Compania Istmena de Seguros SA, Finanzas Generales SA, BG Investment Co Inc, Empresa General de Seguros SA, Overseas Capital Markets Inc, Wall Street Securities SA, Banco General (Costa Rica) SA and Profuturo Administradora de Fondos de Pensiones y Cesantias SA. Through its subsidiaries, it also has operations established in the Cayman Islands, the British Virgin Islands, Costa Rica, Colombia, Mexico, Nicaragua, El Salvador and Guatemala. The Bank is a wholly owned subsidiary of Grupo Financiero BG SA.
