BlackRock New York Municipal Income Trust (the Trust) is a non-diversified, closed-end management company. The Trust seeks to provide high current income, which is exempt from regular federal income tax and New York State and New York City personal income taxes. The Trust invests in sectors, such as county/city/special district/school district, housing, transportation, education, state, utilities, corporate, tobacco and health. The investment advisor of the Trust is BlackRock Advisors, LLC, which is an indirect, wholly owned subsidiary of BlackRock Inc. The sub-advisor of the Trust is BlackRock Financial Management, Inc. (BFM).
