Bluegreen Corporation is a provider of places to live and play through its resorts and residential community businesses. The Company is organized into two divisions: Bluegreen Resorts and Bluegreen Communities. Bluegreen Resorts acquires, develops and markets vacation ownership interests (VOIs) in resorts located in drive-to vacation destinations and provides various services to third-party resort owners. Bluegreen Communities acquires, develops and subdivides property and markets residential land homesites, which are sold directly to retail customers who seek to build a home in a residential setting, in some cases on properties featuring a golf course and related amenities, and also offers real estate consulting and other services to third parties. It also generates income from its resort management business and through interest income earned from the financing of individual purchasers of VOIs, and homesites sold by Bluegreen Communities.
