Asia Satellite Telecommunications Holdings Limited, through its wholly owned subsidiary, Asia Satellite Telecommunications Company Limited (AsiaSat), provides satellite services to the broadcasting and telecommunications markets. The Company owns six satellites that are located in prime geostationary positions over the Asian landmass. These satellites provide access to two-thirds of the world's population. AsiaSat also holds two licenses issued by the Office of the Communications Authority. These licenses permit the Company to provide services to its customers from its Tai Po Earth Station.
