Description

Calamos Convertible Opportunities and Income Fund (the Fund) is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Fund’s investment objective is to provide total return through a combination of capital appreciation and current income. The Fund will invest at least 80% of its managed assets in a diversified portfolio of convertibles and non-convertible income securities. The Fund seeks total return through a combination of capital appreciation and current income by investing in a diversified portfolio of convertible securities and below-investment-grade (high-yield) fixed-income securities. The Company invests in various sectors, such as energy, materials, information technology, consumer discretionary, industrials, financials, consumer staples, healthcare, telecommunication services and utilities. The investment advisor of the Fund is Calamos Advisors LLC (Calamos Advisors).
