Columbia Sportswear Company is engaged in designing, sourcing, marketing and distribution of outdoor apparel, footwear and related accessories and equipment. During the year ended December 31, 2008, the Company distributed products to over 9,000 wholesale customers in over 100 countries. The Company provides apparel, footwear, accessories and equipment for use in a range of outdoor activities by men, women and youth. The Company merchandises its products in four categories: sportswear, outerwear, footwear and related accessories and equipment.
