Charter Real Estate Investment Trust (Charter) is an open-end real estate investment trust focused on acquiring a portfolio of retail and mixed-use retail community and neighborhood centres. It consists of stable cash flow and value-add properties from both primary and secondary markets throughout Canada, with the principal focus of generating a reliable and growing yield for its unitholders. On September 5, 2008, the Company completed the acquisition of a portfolio of three properties. The properties are located in Brockville, Strathroy, Wasaga Beach and Ontario. On January 31, 2008, it completed the acquisition of Place Val Est located in Sudbury, Ontario.
