Description

CTC Media, Inc. operates three Russian television networks. The Company’s television networks include the CTC Network, a network offering entertainment programming targeted at 6-54 year-old viewers, Domashny Network, a network principally targeted at 25-60 year-old women, and DTV Network, a network principally targeted at 25-54 year-old viewers (18+ year-old viewers during the year ended December 31, 2008). The Company operates in eight segments: CTC Network, Domashny Network, DTV Network, CTC Television Station Group, Domashny Television Station Group, DTV Television Station Group, CIS Group and Production Group. In February 2008, the Company acquired an interest in a Kazakh television broadcaster, Channel 31. In October 2008, it acquired a 51% interest in a broadcasting group in Moldova. In April 2008, the Company acquired two Russian production companies, Costafilm and Soho Media.
