Carnival plc is a cruise and vacation company. The Company has a portfolio of cruise brands and is a provider of cruises to all vacation destinations. Its brands of cruises include Carnival Cruise Lines, Princess Cruises (Princess), Costa Cruises, Holland America Line, P&O Cruises, AIDA Cruises, Ibero Cruises, P&O Cruises Australia, Cunard Line (Cunard), Ocean Village and The Yachts of Seabourn (Seabourn). As of January 28, 2010, the Company, in joint venture with three shipyards provided for the construction of 13 additional cruise ships. In addition to its cruise operations, the Company owns Holland America Princess Alaska Tours, the cruise/tour operator in the state of Alaska and the Yukon Territory of Canada. This tour operator owns and operates, among other things, 15 hotels or lodges, with 3,400 guest rooms, 390 motorcoaches and 20 domed rail cars. The Company caters to markets, which comprises of North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, Asia and South America.
