EPM Mining Ventures Inc. (EPM) is a United States-based development-stage company focused on specialty fertilizers. The Company, through its wholly owned subsidiary, Peak Minerals Inc., controls mineral leases on more than 124,000 acres on its Sevier Lake Playa property in Millard County, Utah. EPM is engaged in the development and production of specialty fertilizers, including Sulphate of Potash (SOP), through the use of a solar evaporation process. SOP and other specialty fertilizers are used in the production of chloride-sensitive crops, such as fruits, vegetables, and tree nuts. EPM is engaged in engineering and analysis designed to support a feasibility study, environmental permitting and ultimately mineral production. Its other products include sodium chloride (also known as table salt or road salt); sulfate of potash magnesia (a specialty fertilizer); magnesium sulfate (used in agriculture and as bath salts), and magnesium chloride (used in medicine and for dust control).
