Freewest Resources Canada Inc. (Freewest) is a Canada-based exploration company. Freewest is focused on acquiring, exploring and developing chromite, gold and base-metal properties in Eastern Canada. The Company directly and through joint ventures, is engaged in the business of exploration and development of its mining properties. The Company had not earned significant revenues and was considered to be in the exploration stage during the fiscal year ended October 31, 2008 (fiscal 2008). The Company and Murgor Resources Inc. (Murgor) jointly own (50-50) a 100% interest in 91 mining claims located in Benoit Township, Quebec. Freewest and Murgor jointly own (50-50) a 100% interest in 138 mining claims in Barry and Urban Townships. The Company and Golden Tag Resources Ltd. jointly own (70-30) a 100% interest in 44 mining claims located in Verneuil Township. The Company owns a 100% interest in 4,202 mining claims located in north eastern Quebec extending into Labrador.
