Lignol Energy Corporation (Lignol) is engaged in the development of biorefineries for the production of fuelgrade ethanol and other biochemical co-products from non-food based cellulosic biomass feedstocks. As of April 30, 2009, the Company was in the II phase of the development of its technology. Construction for this plant is underway at its Biorefining Technology Development Centre, located at Burnaby, British Columbia. Lignol’s biorefinery technology provides the benefits of utilizing feedstocks produced from forest products and agricultural residues, to produce ethanol and create biochemical co-products to displace a range of products, which are derived from fossil fuels.
