Sierra Metals Inc., formerly Dia Bras Exploration Inc., is a precious and base metals producer. The Company also holds property holders in the Cusihuiriachic (Cusi) mining district with land package of over 230,000 hectares. The Company also owns a base of exploration properties in Chihuahua, Mexico. The Company through its wholly owned subsidiary, Dia Bras Peru S.A.C., acquired 82% of Minera Corona, S.A. (Corona) in May 2011. Corona is engaged in the exploration, extraction, production and commercialization of copper, lead and zinc concentrates, with high silver and gold components at the Yauricocha Mine in Yauyos Province, Peru. The Cusi project consists of 60 concessions covering 11,319 hectares, which include 12 inactive mines and is located within 40 kilometers of the Company�s Malpaso Mill. The Company�s asset in Mexico is the Bolivar mine located in the Piedras Verdes mining district. The Bolivar mine is a copper-zinc-silver producing asset.
