Merrex Gold Inc. is a Canada-based company. The Company and its subsidiaries are junior mineral exploration companies engaged in the business of acquiring, exploring and evaluating natural resource properties. The Company’s primary assets are its gold properties in West Mali (Siribaya Project), Africa and its zinc-lead properties in Nova Scotia, Canada (Jubilee Project). The Jubilee Property, which includes the Jubilee Deposit, is a 189-claim land position located in Inverness and Victoria counties of Central Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. It is a carbonate-hosted, stratabound zinc-lead-barite deposit. During the fiscal year ended August 31, 2009 (fiscal 2009), a total of 211 holes were drilled on the Jubilee Claims. The Company acquired 100% interest in the Kakadian mineral permit in west Mali, which hosts a presence of structural features and gold geochemical anomalies in the prospective Birimian rocks. Its wholly owned subsidiary is include Jubilee Minerals Ltd.
