Shear Minerals Ltd. (Shear) is an exploration-stage company focused on diamond exploration. The Company acquires and explores mineral properties located primarily in the Northwest and Nunavut Territories, Alberta, and Michigan. The Company’s projects include the Churchill Diamond project (Churchill), Churchill West project, Aylmer Lake West project and Afridi Lake project. Churchill comprises of mineral rights to approximately one million acres near the communities of Rankin Inlet and Chesterfield Inlet in the Kivalliq region of Nunavut. The property hosts 11 diamond bearing kimberlites. During the fiscal year ended November 30, 2008, it completed 14 core drill holes in the project. The Churchill West project encompasses 397,705 acres located near the community of Rankin Inlet in the Kivalliq region of Nunavut, contiguous to the Churchill Diamond Project. Two kimberlites have been discovered on the Churchill West property, one of which was diamondiferous.
