Shear Wind Inc. is engaged in the exploration and development of renewable energy in Canada and is focused on the supply of clean energy. The Company is developing wind projects in varying stages of development, with total generation capacity in excess of 1,200 mega-watts. The company's renewable energy plan is to develop wind energy projects throughout North America by selecting wind resource properties, and by forming partnerships, joint ventures, and acquisitions, to provide the additional resources. These projects are located in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick. The Mann Siding project and Benjamin River project are located in New Brunswick, Coyote Ridge project in Alberta, and the Burstall project in Saskatchewan. The Company has one wholly owned subsidiary, Fitzpatrick Mountain Wind Energy Ltd. As of December 31, 2011, the Company’s Glen Dhu site had two existing 230 kilovolt lines as well as a 138 kilovolt line located on the subject land.
