Chartwell Dividend and Income Fund, Inc. (the Fund) is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Fund's primary investment objective is to seek high current income. Capital appreciation is a secondary objective. The Fund will invest at least 50% of its total assets in income generating equity securities, including dividend paying common stocks, convertible securities, preferred stocks and other equity-related securities. In addition, the Fund may invest the balance of its total assets in non-convertible debt securities, consisting primarily of corporate bonds. The Fund invests across many industries and asset classes. The Fund invests in the common stocks of utility companies, real estate investment trusts (REITs) and other industrial and financial companies, as well as other equity securities. It can invest in both convertible preferred stock and convertible bonds. The Fund’s investment advisor is Chartwell Investment Partners, L.P.
