Crimson Exploration Inc. (Crimson) is an independent natural gas and crude oil company engaged in the acquisition, development, exploitation and exploration of oil and natural gas properties, primarily in the United States, Gulf Coast and South Texas regions. The Company’s properties include Denver Julesburg Basin of Colorado and Haynesville Shale plays in East Texas. The regions covered by Crimson include south Texas, southeast Texas, southwest Louisiana and Colorado.It also holds interests in a number of non-operated properties primarily along the Gulf Coast. In May 2008, the Company acquired assets in south Texas from Smith Production Inc. Its wholly owned subsidiary is Crimson Exploration Operating, Inc.
