Description

Samsonite International S.A. is a travel luggage company engaged in the design, manufacture, sourcing, marketing and sale of travel, business and casual luggage, as well as travel accessories. Its operation consists of manufacture and distribution of luggage, business and computer cases, and outdoor bags. It sells its products under the brand names Samsonite and American Tourister. It operates in five segments: Asia, Europe, North America, Latin America and Corporate. Asia segment includes operations in South Asia, China, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines and Australia. Europe segment includes operations in European countries, as well as Afirica. North America segment includes operations in the United State and Canada. Latin America segment includes operations in Chile, Mexico, Argentina and Uruguay. On August 2, 2012, it bought high-end luggage brand Hartmann.
