North Texans looking for an education beyond high school turn to Collin College. Collin County Community College District, known simply as Collin College, offers more than 100 associate degree and technical certification programs. Founded in 1985, the community college has an enrollment of more than 46,000 credit and continuing education students and about 700 staff members. It offers courses at about half a dozen campus locations in North Texas, as well as via the Internet. It works with local employers and government agencies to design training and workforce development programs. Collin has dual-admissions agreements with Texas universities such as Baylor, UNT, UTD, SMU, Texas Tech, and Texas A&M.
