When the devil goes down to Georgia, one can imagine he might watch a little Country Music Television (CMT). A unit of Viacom's MTV Networks, the company oversees a popular music video cable channel that reaches about 90 million US homes. CMT airs a variety of country music programming including videos from top country artists, live concerts, reality shows (The Singing Bee, World's Strictest Parents), and artist biography specials. It also distributes country music content online. CMT was launched in 1983.
