Datang International Power Generational Co. Ltd. (Datang Power) is principally engaged in power generation and power plant development in the People’s Republic of China. The Company is engaged in the development and operation of power plants, the sale of electricity and thermal power, and the repair and testing of power equipment and power-related technical services. As of December 31, 2008, the Company managed over 50 power generation companies, which it wholly owns or has a controlling interest in, plus other project companies covering 18 provinces throughout the People’s Republic of China. As of December 31, 2008, the Company and its subsidiaries managed a total installed capacity of 25,096.7 megawatts. During the year ended December 31, 2008, total power generation of the Company and its subsidiaries amounted to 126.689 billion kilowatt hours.
