DISH Network Corporation (DISH Network), is a pay-television (TV) provider, across the United States. DISH Network services provide programming which includes more than 280 basic video channels, 60 Sirius Satellite Radio music channels, 30 movie channels, 35 regional and specialty sports channels, 2,100 local channels, 200 Latino and international channels, and 50 channels of pay-per-view content. As of December 31, 2008, the Company had approximately 13.678 million subscribers. The Company offers a range of selection of local and national programming, featuring more national and local high-definition (HD) channels than other pay-TV providers and the only HD-only programming packages. On January 1, 2008, the Company completed the Spin-off of its technology and certain infrastructure assets into a separate publicly-traded company, EchoStar Corporation (EchoStar).
